54th Anniversary of the Schuman Declaration

The celebration event and prize-giving Ceremony of the Europe at School Competition took place in the Secondary School "Josip Bros Tito", on May 8th 2004, on the occasion of Celebration of May 9th -The Day of Europe.

United Europe - From idea to reality

On the Ceremony the Ambassador Jovan Tegovski, Counselor for EU affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave a speech on the topic "United Europe- from idea to reality". The Ambassador Tegovski presented the idea of the European Union, since it's beginning till its final extension. He explained that the way to the final goal, predicted by Robert Shuman, was full of difficulties, which on the other hand had contributed to the strengthening of European Union. Today EU represents one great family, that grows each day and it's becoming stronger. During his speech the Ambassador Tegovski also presented the steps that Republic of Macedonia have made in the past to get closer to EU. He said that the goal is well known, but there is quite difficult route that should be crossed. Presentation (Only in MKD version)

Speech - Ambassador Donato Chiarini

A valuable speech on the Ceremony was given by the Ambassador Donato Chiarini, the Head of the Delegation of the European Commission in Macedonia. During his speech the Ambassador especially emphasized the significance of the youngsters in the process of building the European Union. He explained to the present secondary school students how important is their role in the process of euro integration of Republic of Macedonia.

Europe at School - Towards the European citizenship education

The Secretary General of the European House Skopje, Toni Masevski presented the project Europe at School and its implementation in Macedonia. Presentation (Only in MKD version)

Our Pop-star Karolina Goceva handed the awards to the prizewinners.

The Ceremony was completed with two songs of the chorus from the Secondary School "Pance Arsovski" and an exhibition gallery of photographs from the artist Srgan Janicievic.
