Open call for the competition Europe at school 2004

The call for the Europe at School Competition was opened from 12th to 17th of April 2004. The promotion material of the Competition were a brochure and a poster:

Pilot competition

The Competition categories were literature and arts (drawing, painting, etc.), the topic was
"Understanding Europe through culture and sport"

In the pilot stage of the Competition the following ten Secondary Schools took part in:

  • "Rade Jovcevski Korcagin“
  • "Orce Nikolov“
  • "Georgi Dimitrov“
  • "Zef Lus Marku“
  • "Pance Arsovski“
  • "Vasil Antevski Dren“
  • "Marija Kiri Sklodovska“
  • "Metodija Mitevski Brico“
  • "Cvetan Dimov“

In each of these Secondary Schools a local Juries were established, consisted from professors of literature and arts.
These local Juries were obligated to select three best works in each category (literature and arts) that afterwards were valued by the National Jury.

Prize-giving ceremony

Prize-Giving Ceremony of the Europe at School Competition took place in the Secondary School “Josip Bros tito”, on The May 8, 2004, on the occasion of Celebration of May 9 th -The Day of Europe.

On the Ceremony the Ambassador Jovan Tegovski, Counselor for EU affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave a speech on the topic “United Europe- from idea to reality”. A valuable speech on the Ceremony was given by the Ambassador Donato Chiarini, the Head of the Delegation of the European Commission in Macedonia. The General Secretary of the European House Skopje, Toni Masevski presented the project Europe at School and its implementation in Macedonia. Our Pop-star Karolina Goceva handed the awards to the winners.

The Ceremony was completed with two songs of the chorus from the Secondary School “Pance Arsovski” and an exhibition gallery of photographs from the artist Srgan Janicievic.
